Sendall Tunnel

Sendall Tunnel connects the two halves of the city of St.Georges.
[1]Construction was started on 21 November 1889, when Lady Sendall set off the first blast by electricity for the excavation of the tunnel. The tunnel was built in commemoration of The Sir Walter Sendall administration and named by the parochial board The Sendall Tunnel. The tunnel was opened on 21 October 1895[2].
